About
We all go through difficult times and can feel overwhelmed. I believe therapy is a powerful tool to help you through those difficult times and create lasting changes. The connection you feel with your therapist is one of the most critical components to successful outcomes. With this in mind, I strive to provide a safe, honest, and supportive environment allowing you to explore some of the most difficult times in your life. I build a collaborative, authentic relationship so that we can address your struggles and achieve your therapy goals together.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Lic #79863) and hold a Master’s degree in Counseling. I believe therapy is a powerful tool to help clients through difficult times and create lasting changes. I strive to provide an honest, authentic relationship and a supportive environment allowing for exploration of struggles and the building of coping skills to improve life quality.
I have ten plus years of experience working with individuals and families during their most difficult times, and feel especially honored to be able do this work. I specialize in areas of anxiety/stress, depression, life transitions, trauma, and relationship issues. Seeking help and being vulnerable, especially from a stranger, can be intimidating. I understand this, feel privileged to support you through this difficult time and will empower you to heal, grow and reach your full potential. In addition to work with individual adult clients, I specialize in family therapy and parenting challenges. Working as a therapist within the school system has allowed me to gain a valuable understanding of adolescents as they negotiate issues unique to them, such as self esteem, identity discovery, peer relationships, mood regulation, school stress, and the transition into adulthood. I also specialize in working with parents to build the tools they need to help address family conflict such as communication issues, divorce/blended families, mood, developmental, or behavioral problems. I use a combination of techniques, such as, Cognitive & Dialectical Behavioral Therapies (CBT & DBT), Structural Family Therapy, and Attachment and Strength-Based therapies, to build client’s coping skills, communication skills, and help the client improve their lives. |
